His Story
John Andrew King Jr. was born November 3, 1986 in Houston, TX. He graduated from Klein High School in 2005, then went on to Sam Houston State University. Afterwards, he went to work for the family business at King Cheesecake, going from warehouse worker, to bakery, to delivery driver and his current position in sales.
On May 30, 2015, after his father asked him to attend a graduation party for a family friend's son, John met Nicole. Despite attending the same high school and their parents being friends for years, this was the first time they met. On October 9th, 2016, John surprised Nicole by proposing during her birthday dinner.
Her Story
Nicole Elaine Whittaker was born in Houston, TX on October 12, 1983 and graduated from Klein High School in 2002. She then attended Arizona State University where she graduated early with a degree in Marketing and minor in Mass Communications, and later earned an MBA and Masters of American Media and Popular Culture, also from ASU. After spending over 10 years in business working for companies such as American Express and Reliant, she left business to become a 9th grade English teacher at Oak Ridge High School in Conroe ISD.
On May 30th 2015, Nicole met John for the first time at a graduation party for their mutual friend Greg Brown, a friend they had both known for over 20 years.
